Avissa Mojtahedi grew up in North York and graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. Her career and passion for design started at the age of 16 as an intern and then full-time consultant for 10+ years with one of Toronto’s prestigious design firms. She started the boutique firm Avissa Design Inc. shortly after and quickly established herself as a well-respected Toronto designer.
Avissa’s award-winning design style is best described as elegant and sophisticated, with an appreciation for rich colours and textures. Her work captures the clients’ personal style and taste by creating unique and liveable custom interiors.
Avissa is the principal designer and works with her team on design/build projects across Canada & the US. Avissa can be seen as a guest design specialist on The Tracy Moore Show on Cityline, as well as on camera with Mike Holmes and the team on Holmes Family Rescue. Avissa was invited to represent the Delta Faucet Company brand as one of three designers for the #DeltaDifferenceMakers campaign, and worked on various episodes as Art Director & Project Manager with HGTV’s The Property Brothers, and Making it Home with Kortney & Kenny.
Avissa is also a strong advocate for helping to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia.
